What fields make up an Oregon address?

A typical US record contains a recipient name, house number and street, optional unit information, city, two-letter state code, and ZIP Code. The last line of an Oregon address is commonly formatted as City, OR ZIP Code, such as Portland, OR 97205.

Address Line 1 holds the house number and street. Apartment, Suite, Unit, or Floor details usually belong in Address Line 2. City and County are different administrative fields and should not be substituted for one another.

  • Street Address: house number, directional, street name, and suffix such as Street, Avenue, or Road.
  • City: for example Portland, Salem, or Eugene.
  • State: use OR, not the neighboring Washington code WA.
  • ZIP Code: keep the code paired with the generated city and street.

Why must the city, county, and ZIP Code match?

A city can have several ZIP Codes, and a ZIP Code may serve more than one recognized place name. Form validation may compare the full City, State, and ZIP combination instead of checking only whether the ZIP begins with 97.

The Portland metro area crosses county boundaries, but a City field should still contain a city name. Washington County or Multnomah County is not a replacement for Portland. This page filters county labels that were incorrectly classified as cities.

ZIP Code, ZIP+4, and Oregon area codes

Most online forms request a five-digit ZIP Code. ZIP+4 adds a four-digit delivery segment. This generator produces five-digit test fields and does not claim to provide USPS-validated ZIP+4 delivery points.

Oregon uses the 458, 503, 541, and 971 area codes. An area code helps test regional formatting, but number portability and overlapping service areas mean it is not proof that a person lives in a specific city.

Billing Address, Shipping Address, and P.O. Boxes

A Billing Address is the address registered with a payment method, while a Shipping Address is where an order is delivered. Generated records can exercise development forms but should not replace the real address held by a card issuer.

A P.O. Box is a postal mailbox address, not a residential street address. Some stores, carriers, and customized products do not accept P.O. Boxes, so QA datasets should test street and P.O. Box states separately.

Why can an Oregon address be rejected by a form or platform?

Common causes include a mismatched City and ZIP, the wrong state code, a county entered as the city, a missing house number, a different cardholder billing address, or a conflict between the account region and payment country. Generating another sample can fix test-data pairing but cannot resolve real payment or account restrictions.

For software QA, record the exact field error and inspect Address 1, City, State, and ZIP together instead of changing only the state.

Oregon addresses, no tax searches, and online checkout

The Oregon Department of Revenue states that Oregon has no general sales or transaction tax, while specific taxes such as vehicle use tax still exist. Charges can also depend on the product, seller obligations, actual location, and platform rules.

An Oregon no tax address query can explain the state’s tax background, but entering an arbitrary address does not lawfully change tax residency. Use real information for purchases, subscriptions, and tax matters, and review the Oregon Department of Revenue guidance.

What does Oregon address for Xbox billing mean?

Xbox and Microsoft Store may evaluate the account country, store region, payment method, and billing details together. Microsoft recommends changing country or region only after a long-term move and asks customers to update billing information for the new region.

Generated records are for interface and form testing. They are not cardholder proof and do not guarantee acceptance by Xbox billing, payment authorization, or regional checks. See Microsoft’s region guidance.

How does the Oregon address pool work?

The page selects observed city, street, and ZIP combinations from an Oregon-specific pool, then creates a test house number based on the shape of sampled numbers. When a city is selected, generation is limited to that city’s pool records.

This produces more consistent state, city, street, and ZIP relationships than broad random ranges, but it is still not USPS delivery validation, proof of residence, or real personal identity data.

Oregon address test data for forms and development

This page is built for workflows that require a fixed OR state and optional Oregon city selection, unlike the main generator that covers every US state.

USPS Publication 28 describes standardized address elements and City, State, and ZIP matching. Use an official validation service when deliverability matters.

Oregon Address Generator FAQ

Can generated Oregon addresses receive real mail?
Not reliably. The records are address-format test data and are not validated as USPS delivery points. Use an address provided by you, a merchant, or a legitimate mail service for real delivery.
Why should I copy the Oregon city and ZIP Code together?
Many forms validate City, State, and ZIP as a group. Mixing a city from one result with a ZIP from another can trigger a regional mismatch.
Can I generate only Portland or Salem addresses?
Yes. Select a city to use that city’s OR pool records, or choose Random Oregon City to sample the full state pool.
Does Oregon's lack of general sales tax make every order no tax?
No. Oregon has no general sales tax, but specific taxes and seller, product, location, and platform rules can still affect a transaction. A generated address cannot change a real tax obligation.
Can I use an Oregon address for Xbox billing?
Only for development or form testing. Real Microsoft and Xbox payments should use billing information consistent with the account region, payment method, and cardholder records.
Can a county name be used in the City field?
Usually not. County and City are separate fields. For example, Washington County is not a substitute for Portland. Enter a county only when the form provides a specific County field.
